Holiday Catalog Sneak Peak #2

Welcome to sneak peak #2. Today's project is another Halloween card and is CASE'd from an example in the Stampin' Up! holiday catalog.

I am an elementary school teacher and my classroom theme is owls, so the owl stamp from the Spooky Cat stamp set is right up my alley. The owl is stamped in Basic Gray ink on a 3 inch by 3 inch piece of the Spooky Night designer series paper. One side of the dsp is made up of 3x3 squares with the moon and tree design. The image is sized just right for the owl stamp. The "happy owl oween" stamp is also from the Spooky Cat set. The witches' hat is fussy cut from another design in this paper pack. The owl's eyes are black rhinestones. Colors featured include Basic Black, Pumpkin Pie, and Cajun Craze.

Holiday Catalog Sneak Peak #1

Welcome to sneak peak #1! Today's project is a Halloween card using items from the upcoming Stampin' Up! holiday catalog that goes live in September.

When my order arrived yesterday, I couldn't wait to get my new Stampin' Up! products out and create with them. I decided to start with a Halloween project and pulled out all the new products I could use to create a Halloween card.

The new Spooky Night designer series paper is featured on this card. I love the paper with the potion bottles and it was the first one I decided to play with. The paper below my card is the reverse side of the potions paper. The Spooky Night paper features Basic Black, Cajun Craze, Pumpkin Pie, and Very Vanilla colors.

The stamps featured on this card are from the new Spooky Cat photopolymer stamp set. I thought the witches hat with the cobweb and spider went well with the potion bottles and decided to feature it on my card. The bat is from a new framelits set called Seasonal Tags.

Come back tomorrow for sneak peak #2!

March 2017 Paper Pumpkin

Spring is trying to make a comeback here in rainy western Washington! My new Paper Pumpkin kit for March arrived on Friday and I had to check it out right away since it has an Easter/spring theme. The project includes 9 adorable fabric bunny treat bags and 9 3x3 small cards.

I don't have much use for the small cards, so I cut them in half and used each one to make two standard A2 sized Easter cards. Now I'll have enough Easter cards to send out to friends and family.

This card features the in-color Sweet Sugarplum. I love this pretty purple shade and it will be the perfect card for one of my daughters who loves pinks and purples. This one is definitely my favorite!

Dapper Denim is a beautiful shade of blue! I wasn't quite sure that it would work for an Easter or spring card, but I think it turned out beautifully with the colorful patterned paper to compliment it.

Peekaboo Peach is an in-color that is growing on me. I like how this one turned out with a mix of the paint stroke ears and cross-hatch background.
