Watermelon Wonder is one of Stampin' Up's 2015-2017 in-colors and is definitely one of my favorite colors. This blog post will feature Watermelon Wonder-check back for upcoming posts featuring other colors!
My first card features Watermelon Wonder and the new 2016-2018 in-color Dapper Denim. I think Dapper Denim is a great blue and coordinates with many of the colors in the Stampin' Up! color families. The card base and first layer are Watermelon Wonder card stock. The first layer was stamped with the Hardwood background stamp to provide some additional texture to the card. The central layer was stamped with stamps from the Timeless Textures stamp set. The "Thanks" sentiment is from the Sunburst Sayings stamp set and was embossed with white embossing powder.
My second card also features Watermelon Wonder and Dapper Denim. The Whisper White card base was stamped with the "Hardwood" background stamp in Dapper Denim. I used the Timeless Textures stamp set to add some interest to the card base. The center image features the Work of Art stamp set. The swooshes are all stamped in Watermelon Wonder, some are just stamped off to give them a different shade. The sentiment is stamped in Dapper Denim.
The final card features Watermelon Wonder paired with Pacific Point. I think this pairing provides a bright and cheerful look. This card also features the Work of Art stamp set, this time paired with Gorgeous Grunge. Can you spot the new item I used from the 2016-2017 Stampin' Up! annual catalog?
The sentiment and its mat are cut out with the new Layering Squares framelits set. This set comes with 19 dies and gives you tons of options for layering on your projects.
